In the energy I leave

If I just trust and listen
And let them guide my way
Will my assurance deepen?
And my love for them never sway?
Yes I hear them answer
In the wind upon the breeze
There are others like you
You will connect with these
You are not alone child
For we walk by your side
Just trust in us and in our love
And this we will provide
And so I trust and walk my path
Though learning’s sometimes hard
There is only knowledge deep within
No handsome thank you card
But within this place they have sent

I stare up at my ceiling every night,
Staring into the darkness,
I wish that I could just hide away in it
Can't remember when the last time I saw light was
As I lay in stillness, staring into the darkness,
Shadows begin to play in my mind
Voices being to hum in my ear
A silent chill slowly takes over my body
It enters like a grey cloud enters a blue sky
I tremble with a lust for warmth and light
Preying for someone to remove me from
The hollows which enfolds my soul and leaves me alone to find
My warmth
My light
My soul
My soul which has befriended my grey cloud
And floated away to take another innocent soul's blue sky.

Give me something to relieve this pain
The temptation is so hard to resist
The compulsion to expose my wrist
To pump a vein is what I dream
To take me to a land serene
All I want is to relieve the pain
No matter what I swallow, it’s still the same
